What is marketing, traditional marketing, and digital marketing, and how are they different?

What is marketing, traditional marketing, and digital marketing, and how are they different

What is Marketing?

Marketing is the process of showcasing one of our products or services to the target audience. specifically, making our products and services visible through the appropriate channels and at the appropriate times. Marketing raises consumer awareness of our products and encourages them to take pre-determined actions.

What is Traditional Marketing?

Offline marketing, often known as traditional marketing, is the method of promoting a product or service to the target market using offline media (such as TV, radio, newspapers, and billboards).

What is Digital Marketing?

Digital marketing is the process of promoting our goods or services through digital media to the target market. such as social media, email marketing, and search engines etc.

Why is digital marketing important in today's world?

Smart phones are affordably available to everyone, increasing internet usage globally while simultaneously lowering internet costs.

Even regular individuals use social media and search engines to find information.  This is a chance for businesses to advertise their products and services while also enabling people to buy instantly. like Amazon and Flipkart.

The most popular internet-using technology in the world today is the smartphone. Users of smartphones typically spend five hours every day on them. We can take this chance to market and sell our goods and services. Targeting customers with our preferences is relatively simple with digital marketing.

What differentiates traditional marketing from digital marketing?

1. While digital marketing is less expensive, traditional marketing is more expensive.

2. Digital marketing can be measured, whereas traditional marketing cannot.

3. Targeting in traditional marketing is exceedingly challenging. But demographics like age, gender, and interest are simple to target with digital marketing.

4. Conventional marketing ads cannot be changed, especially those that appear in printed media. Yet, we may do AB tests in digital marketing and apply effective ad creative and content.
